Tikehau is said by the scientific team of Jacques Cousteau to be the atoll with the most fish in The Islands of Tahiti. There are literally millions of them living in the pure, transparent and warm waters of the lagoon. The only pass in the reef is a gathering place for multitudes of species which live in the open sea.
Tikehau is perfect for divers of all levels – there are plenty of fish in the sea!
Whatever your diving level, you’ll be able to explore trenches and cavities inhabited by the large variety of fish which live in Tuheiva pass. Moray eels, napoleons, barracudas and tuna are regular visitors and you’ll probably have some other surprises as well.
