Sentier Aquatique De La Pointe Vénus

Discover the marine flora and fauna of the east coast of the island of Tahiti.
The Pointe Venus aquatic trail is located in a regulated fishing area. All fishing is prohibited there except for the eradication of the starfish (Taramea). The trail is positioned on the inner reef of the coral reef separated from Pointe Venus by a small channel. It can be accessed by the Pointe beach or by the launching point 300 meters to the west. To get there, a kayak, paddle or other water craft is necessary. The site is protected from easterly winds, however, during a northerly swell, a current can form in the small channel. The total length of the trail is estimated at 240 meters with a depth of 2 meters for a 30-minute visit. Also, you must bring your personal equipment (mask, snorkel, fins) which cannot be provided on site.
