Getting there and getting around
The atoll of Rangiroa is situated 350 km northeast of Tahiti and is a one hour flight from the capital. The airport is built on the main motu, Avatoru, and if you are staying on another motu, you should arrange to be collected on arrival, because there are no passenger ferries available. In Avatoru you can hire a taxi, or rent a car, motor scooter or bike.
