Mont Duff

At 441m high, Mount Duff is the highest peak in Mangareva. Ideal for nature lovers, this hike takes you to a small marae and then up to a ridge, from where the view over the bay of Gatavake and the island of Taravai is absolutely magnificent. From the summit of Mount Duff, you can appreciate the splendor of lagoon of the Gambier Islands, in all its multiple shades of blue and green. You'll also be able to spot some of the many species of bird that live on the islands.
