Mont Rotui

A significant mountain on the island of Moorea.
Mount Rotui is a peak in the north of the island of Moorea. Its summit is at 899 meters and it separates the island's two principal bays, Opunohu and Cook. It can be seen from the bays, but the best view of Mount Rotui is from the scenic viewpoint known as the Belvédère d'Opunohu. There is a legend about Mount Rotui which you can read on an information panel at the Ofa'i Tere viewpoint in the bay of Opunohu.
