Tikehau is a one hour flight from Papeete on the domestic airline Air Tahiti. A shuttle ferry or your hosts will take you to your accommodations. The best way to see the island is by bike or on foot.

Getting to Tikehau

The flight from Tahiti arrives on a motu in the south of the atoll, close to the main village. Usually, your hosts will come to greet you at the airport and take you to your accommodations by boat or shuttle ferry.

Getting around in Tikehau

The island is quite small and you can easily visit it by bike or on foot. Most accommodations has bikes available for clients. It is also possible to rent a motor scooter. Your hosts will organize boat transport to anywhere on the lagoon.
